School of Social Work students, faculty, and staff wore ʻākala (pink), the official color of the island of Maui, at the School of Social Work Orientation/Welcome Back event on Friday, August 25. At the beginning of the event, a moment of silence was observed to send our aloha and support to our Maui ‘ohana. School of Social Work faculty, adjunct instructors, alumni, and students have been actively assisting and volunteering in response to the devastating wildfires on Maui.
