Faculty members from Mejiro University's Department of Occupational Therapy, Graduate School of Rehabilitation in Tokyo, Japan, visited HPU on Monday, September 11. Vince Okada, Ph.D., from the Social Work Department, delivered a lecture on interdisciplinary efforts in social work practice within the multicultural environment of Hawaiʻi. Following this, Mari Tada, OTD, from the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program, provided an introductory talk about HPU's upcoming OTD program. The visit also included a Simulation Lab tour led by Bryson Sales, the Simulations Technician from the School of Nursing. Additionally, the group had the opportunity to explore the brand-new lab of the Graduate College of Health Sciences in Waterfront Plaza Building 6, 5th floor.
