The HPU School of Social Work faculty presented at and participated in the Hawai'i-Pacific Evaluation Conference 2023 at the Ko'olau Ballrooms & Conference Center on Friday, September 22. Danielle Giroux, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Social Work, delivered a presentation on 'AARPA Funds and Sustainability of Community-Based Native Hawaiian Serving Organizations.' Meanwhile, Peter Mataira, Ph.D., another distinguished member of the School of Social Work, conducted a roundtable discussion titled 'Potential and Challenges: Exploring the Impact of ChatGPT on Evaluation Methods,' along with Drs. Emily Makahi and Paula Morelli. Vince Okada, Ph.D., also affiliated with the School of Social Work, and Dr. Hirofumi Watanabe of Musashino University, a visiting scholar to the School of Social Work, were among the attendees at the conference.
