The MA Sustainability program teamed up with the United Nations Club and students from GEOG 1500 (World Regional Geography) to participate in a service-learning event at Sumida Farm on Saturday, Nov. 12. A group of 13 students and three faculty spent three hours helping with perimeter cleanup at the farm. Each HPU participant was gifted with a bunch of watercress and a lovely lunch with various watercress- inspired dishes. Sumida Farm is a family-owned and operated farm in Aiea fed by a natural upwelling spring from Oʻahu’s aquifer.
