BIOGRAPHY: 

Yong Jae Kim joined at Hawaii Pacific University in 2018. Previously, he was post-doctoral fellow in International Training Institute/Asian Affairs Center at University of Missouri – Columbia.

RESEARCH AND TEACHING INTERESTS:

Yong Jae Kim’s academic interests cover political behavior, political institutions, political economy, East Asian politics, national security and foreign policy. His research focuses on the relationships between social conflicts and political institutions. As an instructor, he strives to provide students with how to find their own answers to crucial questions of political, social, and international phenomena.

PUBLICATIONS:

His research was published in Government and Opposition, Asian Survey, Asian Politics and Policy, and others.
