Dr. Christopher Ivey PT, MPT, ATC, MS, EdD is a physical therapist and athletic trainer, currently serving as the Director of Curriculum and Associate Professor for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Las Vegas Program at the Graduate College of Health Sciences. He resides in Temecula, California, where he actively practices physical therapy and engages in remote work for the Hawaii Pacific University Department of Physical Therapy.
Dr. Ivey has extensive experience in a variety of clinical settings, with over two decades in outpatient private practice focusing on orthopaedics and sports physical therapy. His enthusiasm for teaching emerged during his tenure as faculty in a postgraduate residency program, leading him to embark on a journey into entry-level DPT education in 2009.
His publications and presentations primarily revolve around musculoskeletal examination and treatment and the implementation of best practices in higher education teaching—a reflection of his current research interests.
Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Ivey finds joy in spending quality time with family and friends, actively supporting his two daughters in their pursuits of cross-country running and competitive dance.
