Dr. Black lives in Chandler, AZ and works as the Director of Student Affairs and Assistant Professor of the developing DPT program at Hawaii Pacific University. Prior to HPU, Dr. Black was an Assistant Professor in the DPT program at A.T. Still University in Arizona.
Dr. Black is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy and has worked with medically complex patient populations in the acute and critical care settings for the last seven years. She is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor and completed a Teaching for Equity Fellowship. Dr. Black has served as a presenter at state, national and international conferences on topics related to acute care and cardiopulmonary physical therapy practice. She is currently furthering her education with a Doctor of Education degree in Leadership and Innovation at Arizona State University.
