Dr. Lydia Kite lives in St. Augustine, Florida and works as the Director of Student Affairs and Assistant Professor of the developing OTD program at Hawaii Pacific University. She has experience in a variety of settings including skilled nursing facilities, subacute rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute rehabilitation along with ergonomics, injury and prevention. She also has experience in not-for-profit organizations, day programs, and group homes for adults with varying intellectual and developmental abilities. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Occupational Therapy. She recently graduated with her ppOTD with a capstone focusing on creating a sustainable relationship with community day programs for adults with intellectual disabilities. She is an onsite injury prevention specialist and is a certified aging-in-place specialist. She currently treats in an outpatient clinic for adults with orthopedic and neurological conditions and at the Arc an adult day program for adults with I/DD.
