Dr. Zhang is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy with over ten years of experience working at the inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation teams in China and the United States. She worked as a Neurologic Residency Program Coordinator and neurologic physical therapist at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and as an adjunct faculty at Mount Saint Mary's University DPT program prior to HPU.
During her over ten years of clinical practice, Dr. Zhang has served people with neurological impairments and the movement disorder multidisciplinary team. She has a particular interest in working with patients with stroke, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis and focusing on health promotion and wellness.
Dr. Zhang currently serves on the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy Neurologic Telehealth Task Force, the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education, and the NCS Exam: Special Topic Review and Discussion Board as a team member.
Dr. Zhang has served as a presenter at national and state conferences. Her research interests focus on innovative therapeutic interventions for people with neurological impairments and comparing different interventions using cost-effectiveness analysis.
Dr. Zhang lives in Los Angeles, CA and enjoys hiking with her family in her free time.
