Professional- I have been working at HPU (Hawaii Pacific University) for about 1 year as a fulltime Assistant Professor. Before that, I was an Assistant Nursing professor at Augusta University, Bemidji State University and Texas Woman’s University. I was a certified Oncology nurse for many years in Houston, Texas. Besides teaching, I also maintain my practice skills as an FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) in various health care settings including the Indian Health Reservation in Minnesota and underserved populations in Houston, Texas and Honolulu, Hawaii.
TEACHING INTERESTS: My areas of teaching interest include medical surgical, general medicine, and evidenced-based practice. My dissertation topic was related to nursing and practice.
