Hieu Stuart
Career Coach
Hieu Pham Stuart came to Hawaiʻi 31 years ago from Vietnam with no English; She learned Japanese before learning English in the US.
She is a certified Career and Life Coach.
Education was an incredibly challenging path for her, especially “ENglsihs.” It took her “a while” to accomplish what she dreamt of. She majored in Psychology and earned her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has a strong passion for education, self-improvement, and new knowledge. Her desire is to help others to achieve their dream.
Through all the years of coaching and training others, she has recognized a lot of people chose wrong pathways, ended up with a career which they do not enjoy doing it. Instead of helping to fix it, she would like to coach clients from a fresh start. This motivates her to work in an environment that can assist students in the beginning of their life journey. Heiu’s goals are to help students to explore their interests and select the right major. She coach them on how to invest efficient time, money, and effort during college to achieve their academic goal, while enjoying what they study and turning their passion career into success.
With a background as a Certified Life Coach, Certified Myer Briggs Strong Interests Inventory, and many years of providing family counseling services, from school setting to public groups, from individual to family and at different ages, diverse backgrounds, and ethnic groups, Hieu is enthusiastic about helping the students at HPU, especially those at the Hoʻokō Rising Scholars Program, achieve their goals.
