Digital Explorers Degree Program

Spend a year taking HPU courses fully online and stay for free on campus during the summer through our Digital Explorers Degree Program!

During your undergraduate years at HPU, you have the option to take courses fully online through one of seven selected majors. From there, you can enroll in at least one three-credit summer course (at a reduced cost of $3,000 plus fees and a refundable housing deposit) and live at our unique Aloha Tower Marketplace Waterfront Lofts, with housing costs free of charge.  

Our Digital Explorers get the best of both worlds. Keep your living expenses in check during the Fall and Spring semesters, and take in the beautiful summer on Oʻahu—while enjoying campus life and a wide variety of in-person instructional or internship opportunities.

This program is available for all four years of the eligible degree programs. The program is also financial aid eligible, study abroad eligible, and eligible for concurrent registration (college seniors can get a head start on your graduate degree).

Students may want to spend their first two summers taking classes and their last summer studying abroad or interning in Hawaii to take advantage of academic and career preparedness opportunities.

All courses within this program are offered as 8-week terms; during the academic year, students take 2-3 classes at a time as part of a typical course load. 

Digital Explorers must earn at least a 2.0 GPA to qualify for free summer term housing at the Aloha Tower Marketplace.
