Pi Sigma Alpha

Purpose:

To stimulate productive scholarship and intelligent interest in the subject of government among students at institutions of higher learning in which chapters are maintained.

HPU Chapter: Upsilon Omega

This national honor society recognizes and promotes excellence in the field of political science.

 

Eligibility (Undergraduate): 
  • Be enrolled in any baccalaureate program at HPU.

  • Be at least junior status (60+ credits).

  • Have completed at least ten (10) credits of work in political science including at least one upper-division course.

  • Have an average grade of B or higher in these courses.

  • Be in the top one-third of your class.

 

Eligibility (Graduate):
  • Must be pursuing a degree in political science (MA in Diplomacy and Military Studies)

  • Have completed 9 graduate credits in political science with no grade lower than a B. (Undergraduate coursework does not count towards graduate student eligibility)

 

Membership Dues:

National membership fee (lifetime membership and regalia): $52.00

HPU membership fee: $0.00

TOTAL PAYMENT: $52.00 to be paid upon notification of acceptance.

  • Student members of each ACHS member society may qualify for internship scholarships with the Washington Internship Institute, The Fund for American Studies, and the Washington Center of Internships and Academic Seminars
