Sigma Tau Delta

Purpose:

To give distinction for high achievement in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies in English language and literature; to encourage creative and critical writing.

This national honor society recognizes and promotes academic excellence of students who plan to major in English, or minor in Writing, Film Studies, or English.

 

Eligibility:

• Have completed at least 30 college credits and at least one semester at HPU

• Have taken at least two courses with the alpha WRI and/or ENG, numbered 2000 or above.

• Have a GPA in those WRI or ENG courses and cumulative of at least 3.0.

• Either be a declared major in English, or minor in Writing, Film and Media Studies, or English, or have taken two courses with the alpha WRI and/or ENG, numbered 3000 or above.

 

Membership Dues:

National membership fee (lifetime membership): $45.00

HPU membership fee (induction ceremony, events, etc.): $20.00

TOTAL PAYMENT: $65.00 to be paid upon notification of acceptance. Invitations and payment instructions will be emailed to eligible students.
